Hours | Anaerobe Systems normal business hours are 6:30am – 4:30pm Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday. We are closed on the following observed holidays: New Years’ Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. Orders for in-stock items received by 1:30 pm PST will typically ship out the same day. |

Payment Terms |
Payment terms for customers in the USA are 1% 10 (no discount given on credit card payment), net 30 days in US Dollars. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, & Discover. Check, ACH, and wire transfer are also accepted. Please email customerservice@anaerobesystems.com for banking information. |
International Terms | Prepayment by credit card or bank transfer is required for all shipments outside of the United States. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. Additional handling fee will be applied to all international orders. |
Quantity Discounts | Quantity discounts are based on the quantity of each item number. Not all items are available for quantity discounts. For stock items, quantities of 200-499 packages, the discount is 10%. For quantities of 500 or greater, the discount is 20%. See product category pages for quantity discount information. |
Prices | All prices are in U.S. dollars. Prices are subject to change without notice. Annual price increases occur on January 1 of each year. |
Standing Orders | Standing orders are recommended to ensure product availability. To set-up a Standing Order please email or fax in your Standing Order request. You will need to include the following on a single purchase order: total quantity of each item that will be ordered over the entire term, quantity of each item per shipment, and the shipment frequency or schedule. Orders will be invoiced or charged as they are shipped, for the portion of the order that ships. |
Minimum Order | Orders under $25.00 are subject to a handling charge of $10.00. Non-stock items are subject to the following minimum orders: 25 packs for agar plates (or 100 plates for single packs) 15 packs for both tubes 10 bottles for 250ml broth 5 bottles for 500ml broth |
Stock Media | Stock media will ship within 3 business days of receipt of order. Stock media products typically will ship out the same day for orders received before 1:30pm Pacific Standard Time. |
Non-Stock Media | Non-stock subject to a minimum order may be purchased in smaller quantities when the item is in stock, up to the number available. Call to inquire about availability. Allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery for non-stock items. |
Custom Media | Custom media must be quoted, and a current valid quote is required to place custom media orders. Allow 3 to 5 weeks for delivery. While every effort will be made to produce the quantity ordered, manufacturing runs of this media will be considered complete at a volume of +/- 10% of ordered quantity. You will be invoiced and shipped the actual quantity produced, however it will be no less than 90% of the quantity ordered and no more than 110% of the quantity ordered. |
Special Requests | Special requests for stock and non-stock culture media items, such as single lot or specific shelf life, may be available for Anaerobe Systems to fulfill. Special requests may incur a fee for each catalog number with the special request. Any special requests require a quote from Anaerobe Systems. Special requests outside of Anaerobe Systems’ standard terms and conditions on customer purchase order, without prior approval from Anaerobe Systems, will be rejected. |
Shipments | Shipping terms are F.O.B. destination, freight prepaid, and added to invoice. United Parcel Service (UPS) is our default carrier. 2nd Day shipping is the standard rate for delivery, except for products with strict temperature requirements which must ship UPS Next Day Air. Anaerobe Systems retains title and risk of loss while the goods are in transit when shipment is via Anaerobe Systems’ UPS carrier account. Damage must be reported to Anaerobe Systems within 2 days of receipt and the damage must be noted on the freight bill (both carrier’s copy and customer’s copy) to receive a refund, credit, or replacements. Customer, when using their own collect account, assumes title and risk of loss when goods are picked up by Customer’s carrier.
Anaerobe Systems will attempt to ship complete orders in a single shipment. If only a portion of items are in stock, Anaerobe Systems will ship the available portion of the order. Holding until the order is complete before shipment must be requested for each order either when placing the order, or after receiving order confirmation noting items not in stock. |
Freight Collect & Third-Party Orders | Shipping terms for freight collect and third party orders are F.O.B. Origin, freight collect. This means that Buyer pays freight charges, billed to their freight collect account, and assumes title and risk of loss while the goods are in transit. Claims for loss or damage as a result of the carrier are the responsibility of the purchaser and should be reported to their carrier for reimbursement.
If the customer provided freight collect account is returned as invalid or unauthorized by FedEx or UPS, Anaerobe Systems will ship orders on Anaerobe Systems’ UPS account with freight pre-paid and added to the invoice. |
Returns | Returns are not accepted. Replacements or a credit will be provided when the product has been proven to be defective or a shipping error has been made. In the event you receive damaged, defective, or incorrect product you must notify customerservice@anaerobesystems.com within 2 business days of delivery. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we typically will not accept returns or exchanges. If Anaerobe Systems is found to be at fault for the product defect or error, replacements will be sent or a refund issued. |
Guarantee | Anaerobe Systems guarantees that all of our products will perform satisfactorily for the use in which they are intended, if stored as directed and used before the expiration date. The liability of Anaerobe Systems under this warranty is limited to product credit or replacement at the sole discretion of Anaerobe Systems. See each individual product insert for proper use and storage. |
Shelf-life | The shelf-life designation on all items are expressed in days or months from the date of manufacture. Items will be shipped with no less than 21 days until expiration for items with a 3 month shelf life, 30 days until expiration for items with a 5-6 month shelf life, and 60 days until expiration for all items with a 1 year shelf life. |
